Ze' Lil Roadtrip (Part 1)

2nd to 6th of April

Me & Hubz went off for a roadtrip

Penang - Cameron - KL - Malacca

well actually the Cameron part wasn't much in the plan 

thanks to dear hubz yang suka membuat surprise

the actual tentative was to shoot off right after subuh on the 2nd tu

tapi kalau gayanya bangun pun dah pukul 8 lebih..memang taklahh lepas subuhnyaaa...

(dalam erti kata lain..we slept thru subuh okkkk..astaghfirullahalazimm..ape nak jadi niiiii weeii...)

lesson to learn : kalau esok nak start journey seawal subuh..jangan nak menggataii lakukan kegiatan2 di malam sebelomnya agar tidak terlajak..ingat..terlajak perahu bole diundur..terlajak subuh..ganti sendiri ye... kegiatan ape..heii censored to be spoken here.. shhhh~

so we started our journey to north at about 10am

i'm pretty excited coz honestly it has been like almost 20 years since i step foot on bumi Pulau Pinang

the last time i remember it was...

wait!!

actually .. i dont really remember..

i must be really2 small when i went to Penang the last time..

goshhh~ 

the journey was pretty much different berbanding dengan perjalanan ke selatan

which Tya dah sangat lah biasa dengan 5 hours journey from KL to Kota Tinggi sebab sekolah di situ.

through out the journey, kiri kanan pokok2, bukit2 and at certain point, pokok kelapa sawittt jee along the way. And the road was technically straight. 

not like perjalanan ke Utara, at first it was more like bengkok2 skit and bila dah sampai Perak, i can see bukit2 yg berbatu..

 ok iklan kejap: i miss Perak.. where i was born..since Arwah Tokbah & Maktok meninggal, and they sold the house, i could barely remember when was the last time i went back there.. i have put a word with Hubz to take leave for a few days nanti and stay in Perak..just to go around reminiscing rumah lama, tempat bungkus nasi lemak sedap, jalan2 lumut like how Arwah tokbah would bring when i was a little girl....we will definitely go back there one day.. :)

then to a certain point..

i can see sawah padi, kolam2 ternakan ikan,

well such interesting journey to Penang

except for the part Hubz drove super fast sampai kene speed trap.

Sesampai di Penang, mata ku meliar macam ape...trying to capture everything with my eyes.. nak snap gune handphone takot batt kong by the time sampai the other side..so snap guna mata je la uolss..

masa pergi, we took ferry

first time for Louie to ride on a ferry..im sure he's excited..

attempt nak jadi model rambut kene terbang2 dek angin..ala2 iklan shampoo..

Louie is also excited naik ferry sampai the alarmed keep on berbunyi everytime kitorang lock die on the ferry. Hubz kata maybe it is too sensitive to pergerakan... ayoo dah mcm Merc lah kau ni Louie..


and after a while..even such a short journey..my dear hubby felt into deep sleep till the only sound you here instead of the sound of the wind and the ocean..is someone SNORING besides you.....muhahahhaah~ 

hey..that's the other side :)

So, sesampai di Georgetown, first thing first, we go and find our hotel..coz it's almost 3pm adn it's time to check-in!

well we decided to stay in Georgetown instead of Batu Feringhi

my Penang friends once told me..for a first timer like me..highly suggest to stay in the city..so senang nak pg explore tempat2 makan..

next time we stay kat batu feringghi plak eh..by that time kite feeling2 mat-salleh dok tepi pantai, rambut kene tiup2 angin, in hand with a glass of air asam jawa.. 

choii..mak jawa uols..nak berlagak mat salleh ta dapek la..~

ala2 tourist tak? i just love the old buildings in Penang =)

after settled down in our room, we freshened up, solat and out we go to find that famous..

ada delivery okkayy..ala2 McD kau..kerlass..

well he ate Nasi people! there goes his diet..see that guilty face =P

we then went back to the hotel and had a rest..after maghrib we went out to Feringghi jalan2..

we walked by the beach..seperti biasa..feeling2 mat salleh..and ktorg menyelinap masok ke dalam Hard Rock cafe..actually intended to go the the shop nak tengok2 souveniors..heee~

but then we snap some pictures here..~

and im not sure why the heck,out of the whole freaking place, i go and snap myself in the restroom mirror..ape kejadahnya lahaii..dushhh! 

so there first thing ktorg pegi carik..

DVD shetak rompakan..

huahuahuhua~

its superr super cheap..

CD lagu was like RM4..like what? who sells CD in KL for RM4 for god sake.

so we bought Beyonce's, Adele's, Buble's, Bruno Mars' and a few more

but the best thing was i got my favourite TV series..

it's the Once Upon A Time (Season 1 & 2) and Switched at Birth Season 1 (which currently playing in channel Astro 722 Monday to Friday at 1.30pm)..

yippieee!!

i'l review on those 2 series in few future post ya guys..heee~

so after we walked around Feringghi's night market, we went back down to Georgetown and to find the 

Nasi Kandar Beratur.

and we couldn't care less where our phones were..hahahahah~

sudah kenyang we head back to the hotel and dozed off

the next day..we had our breakfast back in the hotel

after checking out we head to 

Bukit Bendera / Penang Hill

please do ignore that fat thighs and immature post..shoooshh! 

oh..last night i say we went to Feringghi right? there i bought some cheap beach Pario..

nope! not to wear as what it is..but to wear it as tudung..wahuahuahua..so there goes the Pario on my head..heee~ 

we've tried to contact my dearest uncle and aunt there

thought of nak ajak lunch 

however they were not contactable at that time.

busy rasanya..plus it was weekdays kan..

So after the Bukit Bendera thing

we went for Nasi Kandar Line Clear

common curry..i'll eat you aliveeee!..muahah~

tu dia..pose feeling2 tourist...hhahha~

and after had our lunch in Penang

its time to say byebye Penang

one night stay wasn't enough i must say

takpe.. then we got reasons to come again kan?

oh yes we definitely will

banyak lagi makan2 tak explore kat sini.

so yah..

we started our journey back home

till dearest hubby made a surprise

after almost a year...

.Haluuuuu..
Wow..it's been almost a year right??
Yup after a looonnnggg hiatus..
I say hey maybe I should do some menebas dan aktiviti membersihkan sawang2 and habuk2 melampau kat sini..heee..

It's 4.30pm as i'm writing and here I am at Starbucks Alamanda waiting for my dear husband finish work at 5.30pm. Yes it's one hour to go and guess what, i've been here for the past 2 hour..

Ta syok sgt menaip blog with my tab coz my lappy batt da kiok and I left the charger inside my car...sigh!
Oh what to do..

Zhaf has been very supportive and infact keep asking me to update my blog..coz he was and yet still my number one fan.. (alaa.dulu sbb stalker kan..skang jadi husband takkan stalker lagi kot...).. I said what shall I do waiting for you for 3 hours..he said "u can update your long quiet blog.."

But then I was busy scrolling thru groupon, milkadeal,  ilovediscount and whatever discount website just checking kalau2 ada discounted household,  or dining or even percutian..kerana saya adalah cheapskate. Huahuahua. Hey everybody loves cheap things right?

Anyway..how are you ladies?  Hows married life so far? I see some perot da maju kedepan...congratulations to all mother to be..also to the newly mothers for their precious newborns.

Me? Well married life has been A OK! hehehe...
Juggling between work (yes im still on shift..sigh!), being a housewife, not to forget a daughter for my family and my two in laws families and, a sister of 5 younger ones. .. well its kinda tuff I must say..but with hubster guidance and support..i shall conclude married life is indeed a totally new experience for the both of us..we learn new things, encounter new issues, sat and discuss together to sort things out. We've learned things and grow together. It was by far best moments in life.

Oh snap! Its 5.15pm I have to sign off and shoot to fetch hubster before heading to my parent's to pick up hub's bike..we left it there on our one week holiday..hehehe..

Oh abt our roadtrip last week..im gonna tell all about it on my next post aite? I promise! :)

mmg at first i was having the intention of hiring this designer for my reception dress

and the fact that nazreen said

tak sia2 rambut kerenting kembang aku ni

hahah! 

spent about hour plus at the house boutique

discuss sambil makan cake n kopi sedap!

kak jaja was my roomate's senior back in UM

mereka course lain but the same faculty with me

selalu gile kak jaja datang bilik study

lepak2. makan2. merepek2 meraban. tgk movie kat laptop gajah kak siti.

and after graduation, i went to her wedding in malacca

black n pink theme

sangat cantik okkay~

and all adalah hasil kerja tangan abangnye nazreen

ho yeah!

it was a pleasure meeting with kak jaja and nazreen the other day 

and cant wait to see my dress nanti !

and on top of that

my reception make up nanti

nazreen make up kan !

which such low cost!

so today

nak pegi sopping kain dgn nazreen

for reception attire for zhaf

and nak bincang with nazreen further for seremban's reception dress plak

weee~

The Wed Prep : The Reception Dais

sometimes

feels like

can i just quit my job

and focus on my wedding prep?
oh how i wish..
huhuh~

ok!

the DIYs

i love DIY soo much

but i just dont have much time to do lots of it

unlike mase tunang haritu

most of it DIY

not a single vendor hired.

(except for the canopy lah)

the big DIY thingy for my big day is

for me pelamin reception is a big thing
unlike pelamin nikah
i visualize it as a small simple one
huhuu~

at first i was a bit reluctant to have a DIY dais fo my reception

papa n mama said

'boleh buat sendri la kakak'

but i insist not to.

just like masa tunang haritu

they said 

'kakak, we may forked out the same amount of money for it, but at the end of the day the stuff will be ours'

yes, said it again and again
so bunga banyak2 yang mama na beli for the dais deco nanti

it'll end up jadi decoration kat rumah mama and my house nanti lah ye?

yeszaaa~

hmmm~

but then, somehow

after i put my thoughts into it

i said

'yeah why not'

and papa n mama was so happy
when i decide that

at first i ta paham 

why papa mama sanggup nak use their own bare hands on a project like this

bukan ape. i malas nak burden my parents on something big like this

paku papan plywood tu sendri

drilling, sewing the cloths and drapes sendiri

pasang mounting the spotlights sendiri

arranging the flower sendiri

padahal tu sme bole suruh vendor buat

ta yah susah2kan mereka

but seeing my parents happily volunteered to do so

i'm just extremely grateful and thankful to them

thank u papa mama !

with his power tools and gadgets

and with the help of AUTOCAD, 

(dont ask me whats that, its engineering software whatever not, only papa, my sister yaya and my bro, afiq knows what it is. ini hal2 engineers i malas nak tanya..cube suruh i lukis jantung ke.. tu aku tau lah..heee!)

well, he designed and positioned

im 26 !

goshhh~

one thing i never thot i would be on my 26th birthday is

being someones fiancee

and about to get married

fuyooooo !

coz ive always said to myself

im gonna get married at 30.

yeah right

im wearing a ring now

what you gonna say about that huh? 

silly athirah !

anyway 

my 26th bday celeb was simple yet awesome!

mr fiancee made a surprise

driving me up to KL tower

i thot we're just going to Ben's at Pavilion for dinner 

when i see we're going up the hill n going towards the tower

i said

'are we going there bubushi?' 

pointing up to the tower

he said

'tak lah sayang. bubushi na ikot jalan dalam ni'

and knowing him yng suke ikot jalan celah2 bedah mana tah

tau2 je sampai ke destinasi

i just keep myself quiet

and honestly, i buy that lie *dem*

and then tetibe..

die masok parking

and parked !

and tetibe

he took a huge paper bag of Charles & Keith from behind the co-driver seat 

(which is behind my seat obviously)

and i was like

'WHAT THE?'

and as i opened the bag

tadaaa!!!

'AaaaaaaAa'

*screamed*

sangat awesome

sangat cantik

n i just love it

pandai en tunang saya pilih handbag

hhaha~

oh and dapat a giant lollypop from C&K juge

then after that i terus transfered all my stuff from my old handbag

and dump it into my new handbag

and wallah!! i look good with it

then he open the door for me

yet still, in disbelieve, i asked again

'kte nak naik atas ke bubushi?'

and he just smile

as we walk up to the counter

the queue was damn long i tell you

its because of there was something going on at the exhibition hall upstairs 

something on the F1 thingy i heard

a long queue but mr fiancee just dgn selamba nya went straight to the counter and said to that sweet lady

'reservation under Zhafri'

and 2 tickets was hand to mr fiancee

=)

and a guy terus walk us to the lift

cuts through the long queue

i just smile

we got a nice table for two next to the glass window

had a bellyful fiest

and suddenly my mom n sis text

'best ke?'

ohh they knew??

am i the only one yang don't know about this?

demm! 

its a surprise lah hoi !

and i got to know

due to mr fiancee takot kalau reserve lambat nanti fully book

he indeed made the reservation 3 months earlier

and the handbag 

sebab cantik n takot habis agknye

he bought it like 3 months earlier jugak.

i had a wonderful night on top of the KL Tower

we had

roast chicken

potato salad

grilled vege with olive oil

fried fish with thai sauce

satay kajang (thanks to papa)

and cheese cake (thank to mr fiancee)

and for desert 

me n mma made 

home made bread pudding

wallah !

uncles , aunties, cousins, nephews

came over

and makan2

sampai kenyang

mama said

'this would be the last birthday celebration you  my anak dara, after this its your hubby's job to celeb u, cook for u and it will be at your own house, kitorg datang makan je..'
